Transactions

How do transactions work?

ZANO BAY is 100% peer-to-peer. We never intercept or manage transactions:

  1. Users communicate through encrypted messaging
  2. Buyer sends Zano directly to seller's wallet
  3. Seller fulfills the order after payment confirmation
  4. Platform administrators have no role in transactions
Is there buyer/seller protection?
No. ZANO BAY is a neutral platform and doesn't offer escrow or dispute resolution. We recommend checking user ratings, starting with small transactions, and using clear communication about expectations.

Privacy & Security

How does messaging encryption work?

Messages use end-to-end PGP encryption:

  • PGP keys are generated during registration
  • Messages are encrypted twice - once for each user
  • Private keys never leave your browser
  • Nobody can read your messages - not even ZANO BAY administrators
What information does ZANO BAY store?
We store usernames, hashed passwords, public keys, profile info, listings, and transaction ratings. During beta, we temporarily store system logs for troubleshooting, but these are deleted weekly. For maximum privacy, use a VPN to mask your IP address.

Troubleshooting

I can't decrypt messages
Try clearing your browser cache and reloading the page. If you didnt save your keys on initial registration you won't be able to decrypt messages. Users can't update their public key.
My transaction isn't showing up
Verify the wallet address is correct, ensure your wallet is synchronized with the network, and check the transaction on the Zano block explorer. Transactions typically confirm within minutes but may take longer during network congestion.
